Edmou Volunteer Foundation
EDMOU Volunteers is a non-governmental organization (NGO) founded in 2019. EDMOU V is registered in Cameroon with its headquarters in Buea, Southwest region. We work in collaboration with the government and other goodwill persons/ organizations to promote education, health and development through volunteerism.
Our Vision
We aspire for a world were all have access to basic life necessities and opportunities, making strong the weak.
Our Mission
Promote Volunteering as a key arm for the emergence of development in developing countries.
Our Activities
AREAS OF OPERATION
Volunteer Training
We inspire and train volunteers through our structured volunteering and mentorship schemes and outreaches.
Education Empowerment Schemes
We provide support and encourage education of the less privileged in our communities through donations, scholarships and carrier orientation schemes.
Community Health
We organize sensitization talks, health Campaigns, distribution of medications and other consumables to meet the health needs of target populations.
Innovation and Resource Development
We sponsor and support innovative and resourceful income generating businesses/ideas as a means of empowering our members.
Faith and Hope Building
As a Christian relief organization, we understand and maximize the power of faith in the transformation of lives. We intervene through word based exchanges, testimony sharing and distribution of Christian books.
Our Objectives:
- Promote and participate in the education of children and youths in our communities through various scholarships schemes.
- Promote and participate in the improvement of the general well-being of children and youths by providing food, water, and healthcare needs.
- Reduce the rate of unwanted pregnancies, drug abuse, alcohol addiction, and crimes by organizing focused seminars on sex education, peace, and nation building.
- Encourage and inspire leadership, volunteerism, and entrepreneurial abilities in children and youths.
- Contribute to the formation of a network of cross-region and cross-country cooperation and exchanges in personnel, experts and opportunities for the education and the support of children and youths.
